No fewer than nine persons were yesterday killed by bandits across Igabi and Zaria local government areas of Kaduna State. Reports have it that five other persons were injured during the attacks, just as the bandits were said to have rustled cattle, including 250 goats. A former governorship aspirant in Plateau State during the 2019 elections, Kemi Nshe, has been kidnapped by gunmen. Nshe, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party who served as chairman of Shendam Local Government Area of the state at different times, was kidnapped alongside Monday Hassan, Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities at the Plateau State University, Bokkos. Armed persons for several hours late Saturday attacked 15 communities in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, killing at least seven people. Residents said the attacks started from late on Saturday, Christmas Day, to the early hours of Sunday.
