Bandits set fire to bus, kill 30 passengers in Sokoto

At least 30 passengers on a bus in Sokoto state were burnt to death when gunmen torched it on Tuesday, police and residents said, in yet another reminder of growing insecurity in Africa's most populous country. Gunmen occupy highway, burn vehicles, kill 7 motorists in Zamfara

Bandits operating on the Shinkafi-Moriki-Kaura-Namoda Road in Zamfara State have killed no fewer than seven people. Our correspondent learnt that the hoodlums also set vehicles and food items on fire. Explosion rocks Maiduguri housing estate just as rocket lands in community near airport

Residents of 1000 Housing Estate in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, woke up to an explosion Saturday morning. The explosion believed to have been triggered by Boko Haram fighters sparked tension in the area. Final count shows 10 killed, 252 inmates escaped in Jos prison attack – Official

Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed that 10 persons were killed and 252 inmates escaped during the attack by gunmen on Sunday on the Jos Medium Security Custodial Centre.
