Gunmen abduct two clerics in Ogun

A gang of kidnappers has abducted two Islamic clerics after taking time to eat at their residence at Ayetoro in the Yewa-North Local Government Area of Ogun State. The kidnappers reportedly took the two friends, AbdulJelil Hussein and Ilyas Jamiu on Saturday around 10pm shortly after they arrived from a public lecture. 38 killed in coordinated bandit attacks on Kaduna villages

Thirty eight (38) persons have been killed in an attack by bandits on several villages in Giwa LGA of Kaduna state. In a statement on Sunday, Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna commissioner for internal security and home affairs, said the attacks were reported to the state government by the military and police authorities. Gunmen kill two policemen at checkpoint in Anambra

Gunmen on Saturday attacked a police checkpoint at the Idemili-Obosi Interchange on the Onitsha-Owerri Road, Anambra State, killing two policemen and burning the cops’ patrol vehicle. Bandits abduct 20 in separate attacks on Sokoto communities

No fewer than 20 villagers have been abducted by bandits in Wurno local government area of Sokoto State, residents have said. Gunmen abduct two Imo monarchs, burn their palaces, vehicles

The onslaught on traditional rulers in the Southeast continued on Sunday with the abduction of two monarchs in Imo State. Bandits kill pastor in Kaduna after collecting ransom

Nine worshippers killed as gunmen attack mosque in Niger state

Nine worshippers have been killed by gunmen in an attack on a mosque at Tungan Ba’are village in Mashegu LGA of Niger state. According to the Niger police command, six other people were injured in the attack that took place on Thursday.
