Gunmen kill RCCG member at church entrance in Kwara

There was tension at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Living Word Parish, Basin Road, Ilorin, Kwara, when Sina Babarinde, a member of the church, was gunned down. Babarinde was said to have stepped out of the church to receive a call when his assailants rained bullets on him. The incident, it was gathered, happened during the 7am service of the parish. The motive of the killing was not clear as at press time. Court issues strict rules to counsels as FG increases charges against Nnamdi Kanu

Federal government has amended the criminal charges filed against Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The IPOB leader will now be rearraigned on a seven-count charge as against the five counts he was previously answering to, bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism. Gunmen abduct two undergraduates, one other in Nasarawa

Two students of Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa have been abducted by gunmen. The gunmen invaded the Mararaba community hosting the university Saturday evening, taking away the two undergraduates. It was gathered that one Zafir Yahaya Adams, first son of a prominent politician in the state Hahaha Adams, was also abducted. 11 Nigerians, all belonging to one ethnic group, charged for fraud totaling $9m by US govt

The United States Department of Justice has arraigned 11 Nigerians on charges of conspiracy to commit money laundering, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity theft put at over $9 million. Bandits kill soldiers, abduct motorists in Zamfara

Some soldiers were feared killed Wednesday as they tried to repel an attack by bandits on travellers in Zamfara State. Gunmen attack Bayelsa police station, kill officer, take away guns

A policewoman was declared missing after gunmen attacked Umulokpa Police Division in the Uzo-Uwani local government area of Enugu State.
