Gunmen kill 6, raze houses in Kogi community

The Police Command in Kogi State has confirmed that six people were killed with some houses burnt by unknown gunmen in a Monday morning attack on Bagana community of Omala Local Government in the State. Commissioner of Police in Kogi, Idrisu Dabban, confirmed the incident to newsmen after a visit to the area. Gunmen kill 18, abduct 10 others at mosque in Niger state

Armed men on motorbikes killed at least 18 people at a mosque in Niger state, two residents told Reuters on Monday. The attackers arrived in the Maza-Kuka community of Mashegu local government area at roughly 5 a.m., the residents said. Gunmen blow up jail facilities in Oyo, third of such attacks this year

Gunmen attacked a jail in Oyo State late on Friday and freed over 800 inmates by force, the third such major attack this year, prison service said in a statement on Saturday. Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed that suspected bandits on Wednesday destroyed a portion of the Abuja-Kaduna rail track with explosives, forcing a disruption of train services on the route. Piracy in Nigeria’s international waterways down 77 percent - Report

Piracy and armed robbery attacks in Nigerian waters fell 77 percent in the first nine months of 2021 when compared to the same period in 2020, International Maritime Bureau said in its latest report.
