Bandits kill 9 in attacks on Sokoto communities

Sokoto State Police Command on Thursday confirmed that nine persons died in separate attacks by bandits on three villages in Sabon Birni local government area. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Sanusi, told newsmen that the separate attacks took place on Nov. 15, 16, and 17, 2021. Sanusi said the first attack occurred at Garin Zago in Sabon Birni Local Government Area that resulted in the death of three persons while three others were kidnapped. Bandits operating in Katsina state are using Radio Frequency Walkie Talkie Transceivers to overcome the shutdown of telecommunications service in the state, the state government has said. Death toll from gunmen attack in Sokoto rises to 43

At least 43 people have died following raids by gunmen in Sokoto state this week, three times more than the initial death toll given by officials, a spokesman for the state governor said on Wednesday. Gunmen bomb court in Imo

Gunmen in the early hours of Monday bombed the Magistrate Court in Ubulu, Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State. The hoodlums ignited the court with a petrol bomb causing the entire building to go in flames.
