Nigeria spends N5.075trn annually on genenators – AfDB

Nigeria and its business community spend a whopping $14 billion (N5.075 trillion) per annum on petrol and diesel powered generators. This has contributed in numerous ways to increasing cost of doing business in the country, in addition to air and noise pollution. Onaiyekan retires as Abuja Catholic Archbishop, hands over to successor

Mr John Onaiyekan on Tuesday formally bowed out as Catholic Archbishop of Abuja and handed over to his successor, Mr Ignatius Kaigama. 6 arrested, 3 injured as Ghanaian, Nigerian traders clash

Six persons have been arrested following a bloody clash between Ghanaian and Nigerian traders in Accra. Federal government says Nigeria Customs Service is now generating a daily revenue of N8 billion since the closure of land borders three months ago.
