Buhari inaugurates Armed Forces Council

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja inaugurated the Armed Forces Council. The inauguration was done at the president's main office. There was controversy on Wednesday over a contract deal totalling $1.4m awarded by Ministry of Defence for a United Nations project. Senate calls for scrapping of Excess Crude Account

The Senate on Tuesday called for the abolition of Excess Crude Account. The Senate also called on the executive to pay the amount above the oil benchmark into the Federation Account in compliance with the constitution.
