A court on Monday ordered the federal government to pay N88 billion (£218.12 million) in damages to victims of the 1967 civil war for failure to fully de-mine and clear the land of other weaponry after the end of hostilities. A vehicle late last night plunged into the lagoon by the University of Lagos (UNILAG) waterfront. It was gathered that the vehicle colluded with another before skidding into the water around 10:55pm.
