Auditor-General for the Federation, Mr Anthony Ayine, has queried 308 Ministries, Department and Agencies of government over extra-budgetary spending of N149.5bn in 2016. This is contained in 2016 annual report of Auditor-General for the Federation obtained by our correspondent on Sunday in Abuja. The 2016 audit report is the latest to be prepared by OAGF for all MDAs. Fire has engulfed a segment of Jos Terminus Market in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State with 217 shops burnt. Properties worth millions of naira were also lost. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Undie Adie, who visited the market confirmed the incident to reporters in Jos. After weeks of horse-trading over revenue under-payment by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, the three tiers of government have finally received the sum of N668.8bn as allocation for May 2018.
