Akande replaces Lawan as chair of APC’s panel on reconciliation

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) Interim National Chairman Mr Bisi Akande has been named to lead the party’s national reconciliation committee. It will be inaugurated today (Tuesday). He replaces Senate President Ahmed Lawan who was announced by the party’s leadership as chairman of a similar panel that was never inaugurated. INEC deregisters 74 political parties. Here’s full list of those that survived and those deregistered

Independent National Electoral Commission, on Thursday, deregistered 74 political parties as preparations for the 2023 general elections gather momentum. Malawi election: Court orders new vote after May 2019 result annulled

Malawi's constitutional court has annulled last year's controversial election, which saw President Peter Mutharika narrowly re-elected.
