Former All Progressives Congress (APC) Interim National Chairman Mr Bisi Akande has been named to lead the party’s national reconciliation committee. It will be inaugurated today (Tuesday). Independent National Electoral Commission, on Thursday, deregistered 74 political parties as preparations for the 2023 general elections gather momentum. Malawi's constitutional court has annulled last year's controversial election, which saw President Peter Mutharika narrowly re-elected. Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has expressed optimism that Supreme Court would not reverse its judgment that sacked his predecessor, Mr Emeka Ihedioha, and declared him the winner of the March 19, 2019 governorship election.
