National working committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Ayo Fayose, former governor of Ekiti, over alleged anti-party activities. The PDP also suspended Anyim Pius Anyim, former secretary to the government of the federation, Ibrahim Shema, former governor of Katsina state, and two others over the same allegation. Datti Baba-Ahmed, vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), says Bola Tinubu did not meet the constitutional requirements to become Nigeria’s president. LP’s Otti wins Abia governorship election

Labour Party (LP) candidate, Alex Otti, has been declared winner of the Abia State gubernatorial election. INEC announced on Wednesday that Oti won 10 of the 17 local government areas (LGAs) in the state and polled 175,467 votes in the Saturday, March 18, election. PDP candidate, Okey Ahiwe, polled a total of 88,529 votes, while Enyinnaya Nwafor of the Young Peoples Party (YPP) came in third with 28,972 votes.
