Federal government has ordered closure of all land borders ahead of the general election. Presidential and national assembly elections will hold tomorrow February 25. In a statement on Thursday by Tony Akuneme, spokesperson of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Isah Jere, the NIS comptroller-general, said the border closure will last for 24 hours on election day. Independent National Electoral Commission, on Thursday, released the number of collected and uncollected Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the forthcoming elections. PVC collection ended on February 5, after the commission extended the process twice. A total of 87,209,007 PVCs were collected, with 6,259,229 uncollected as of February 5. CBN fulfills promise, gives cash to INEC

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received cash from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for election logistics.
