INEC chair meets Obi’s legal team, says Commission ‘has nothing to hide’

Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), says the commission has nothing to hide from the Labour Party (LP). Speaking during a meeting with the legal team of the LP on Monday, the INEC chairman said the commission would make available any document the party requests. INEC yet to upload complete results to IReV 2 weeks after presidential election

More than two weeks after the presidential election, Independent National Electoral Commission is yet to upload the complete results from all polling units unto its Results Viewing portal, better known as IReV. Checks by our correspondent at about 9pm on Saturday, March 11, showed that so far, the commission has uploaded 166,168 results from 176,846 polling units. This represents 93.96 per cent of results from all the polling units. INEC, LP disagree on process of BVAS reconfiguration

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says political parties are not allowed to witness the backup or reconfiguration of the bimodal voter accreditation system (BVAS) machines.
