INEC to appeal court ruling mandating it to allow use of Temporary Voter Cards

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that it will appeal the Thursday’s ruling by the Federal High Court, Abuja, ordering it to allow the use of Temporary Voter Cards (TVC) in the March 18 governorship and state houses of assembly elections. US varsity speaks on certificate forgery allegation against Lagos LP gov candidate Rhodes-Vivour

An American university, the Massachusetts Institute Technology (MIT), has said the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, attended the school. The Court of Appeal in Abuja, on Wednesday, granted INEC permission to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines used for the 25 February presidential and National Assembly elections across the country. INEC requests permission from presidential election tribunal to reconfigure BVAS for gov election

Independent National Electoral Commission has urged the Presidential Election Petition Court to vary the orders granted to the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi respectively, to inspect materials used for the last presidential election. INEC, in a motion on notice filed on March 4, is praying the court to vary the order which restrained it from tampering with materials used for the election.
