10 states, Abuja face telecoms network blackout — GSM operators

Ten states and parts of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) may soon face telecommunications services blackout following tax disputes between Kogi State Government and mobile network operators. 11 die, 2 missing as boat capsizes in Ogun

No fewer that eleven persons lost their lives as a boat conveying 29 passengers, capsized on Tafa River, Maun Town in Ipokia local government area of Ogun State. The boat mishap occurred due to engine failure after the boat had already sailed to the middle of the river. Federal government has declared Tuesday as Public Holiday to mark Eid-el Maulud.
