President Muhammadu Buhari has requested a National Assembly resolution to raise $2.78 billion from the International Capital Market for part-funding of 2018 budget. Mr Buhari’s request came in a letter dated July 23, and read by President of Senate, Mr Bukola Saraki, at plenary on Tuesday. Nigeria’s Chief Justice, Mr Walter Onnoghen, has warned lawyers not to engage in actions that cause delay in cases at Supreme Court. The warning is aimed at ensuring the speedy resolution of cases at Supreme Court, the official said. Nigeria’s first university has produced 232,225 graduates since inception 70 years ago, an official has said. NGO to deworm 800,000 pupils in Oyo

Funmi Olaitan, Ibadan A non governmental organization (NGO), Evidence Action, is to embark on mass deworming of school age children in 13 local government areas of Oyo State.
