Presidency moves to end strike; banks, hospitals remain shut

Presidency on Friday said it had begun moves to end the nationwide strike organised by Nigerian Labour Congress. The Presidency in a statement said a meeting had been scheduled for Thursday. One pilot confirmed dead as two Nigerian Airforce jets crash

Nigerian Air Force has confirmed that one of the pilots involved in Friday’s fighter jets crash has died. Two fighter jets on rehearsal for Nigeria’s Independence Day celebrations crashed in Katampe district of Abuja. Air Force had while confirming the crash said no life was lost. Lawmaker and ex-Minister Funke Adedoyin is dead

A female member of House of Representative and former Minister of state, Ms Funke Adedoyin, has died. Adedoyin died on Friday afternoon in Abuja. FG recalls Paris Club refund for 5 states

Federal Government, yesterday, ordered recall of the second tranche of the London and Paris Club Refunds disbursed to five states, amounting to about $2.7 billion (N972 billion.) No reason for the recall was given. The states involved are Delta, Imo, Benue, Rivers and Osun.
