Southern, Middle Belt leaders file N50bn suit against Buhari, allege marginalization

Sixteen elder statesmen and leaders of socio-cultural groups in the Southern region of Nigeria, on Monday, dragged President Muhammadu Buhari before Federal High Court in Abuja, alleging that most appointments since the inception of his administration in 2015, were in breach of the 1999 Constitution and the Federal Character Principle. Deputy governor of Ondo state, Mr Agboola Ajayi, has resigned his membership of All Progressives Congress (APC). Obaseki gets waiver to contest PDP gov primary

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has granted a waiver to its new entrant, Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, to take part in the party’s activities.
