Armed thugs on Monday invaded some markets in Lagos, attacking Igbo traders in the process. Markets allegedly invaded include Ladipo auto parts market, Balogun and Ebute-Ero on the Lagos Island and Mainland. Those affected alleged that some of the thugs broke into shops and made away with goods. Some traders were said to have sustained injuries while trying to flee from the area. Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the presidential election held in Oyo State. Tinubu was declared the winner of the election at the state collation centre on Monday. The election was held across the 33 local government areas in the state on Saturday. Tinubu beats Atiku, Obi in Kwara

Atiku defeats Tinubu, Obi in Akwa Ibom

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has won the 25 February election in Akwa Ibom State. Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has won the senatorial seat of Niger North Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Bello won with a difference of 12,044 votes to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party who came second. A Labour Party candidate for the Kaura Federal constituency of Southern Kaduna, Donatus Mathew, has been declared winner of the Saturday poll. Matthew, known for his motorcycle transport business (popular called Okada) was declared winner of the election. Peter Obi defeats Bola Tinubu in Lagos

Peter Obi of the Labour Party has been declared winner of the presidential election in Lagos, Nigeria’s most populous state. Obi secured 582,454 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Tinubu of the APC, who scored 572, 606 votes. Atiku Abubakar of the PDP came third with 75,750 votes.
