Tinubu polled a total of 341,554 votes across the 20 local government areas in the state to emerge victorious. Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has won the presidential election in Osun State. Atiku won in 20 local government areas with a total of 354,366 votes to defeat his closest rival, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 343,945 votes and won in 10 local governments. Peter Obi, Labour Party Presidential Candidate, is leading Atiku Abubakar, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, with 45,297 votes in results of seven Local Government so far declared at the Plateau State collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Donatus Mathew of the Labour Party (LP) as the winner of Saturday’s election for the Kaura federal constituency seat in Kaduna state. FG directs immigration service to shut all land borders

Federal government has ordered closure of all land borders ahead of the general election. Presidential and national assembly elections will hold tomorrow February 25. In a statement on Thursday by Tony Akuneme, spokesperson of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Isah Jere, the NIS comptroller-general, said the border closure will last for 24 hours on election day. Independent National Electoral Commission, on Thursday, released the number of collected and uncollected Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the forthcoming elections. PVC collection ended on February 5, after the commission extended the process twice. A total of 87,209,007 PVCs were collected, with 6,259,229 uncollected as of February 5.
