2023 elections: Reports say threats of violence real, confirm INEC’s fears

43 percent of those to vote in 2023 elections will be first-time voters - Report

43 percent of Nigerians eligible to vote in the 2023 general elections would be first-time voters. This was disclosed in a report by socioeconomic research firm, SBM Intelligence, on Monday titled ‘2023 Elections: Voter Turnout Will Rise’. Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has said millions of northerners who have obtained their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) are selling them to politicians for less than N2,000.
