24 hours after killing 21 at wedding ceremony, bandits kill village head, nine others in Kaduna

Twenty-four hours after 21 youths were shot dead at a wedding in Kukum Daji Village of Kaura Council, Kaduna State, gunmen invaded Gora Gan village in Zango-Kataf Council of the state killing the village head, a six-year-old boy and nine others. Many other villagers sustained injuries while running for dear lives. Witnesses said that 20 gunmen suspected to be armed herdsmen invaded the village around 7.10p.m. on Monday and started shooting sporadically. 16 kidnapped in fresh Niger bandit attacks

No fewer than 16 persons have been kidnapped in fresh bandit attacks in Niger. The incident occurred in Magani and Tungan-Bako communities of Rafi Local Government area of the state at around 11 am on Monday. Eight villagers were kidnapped at Magami community while six were abducted at Tungan Bako. The kidnappers stormed the communities, riding on motorcycles and shooting sporadically. Gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen, on Sunday, invaded Kukum-Daji village, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing 24 people. An ambush by suspected bandits in Katsina State on Saturday left at least 16 soldiers and officers dead and 28 others wounded. Gunmen invade homes, abduct policewoman, five others in Kaduna; lawmaker’s daughter in Kano

Kidnappers kill two vigilantes in Taraba

Two members of a vigilante group lost their lives during a gun battle with kidnappers in a forest in Mutumbiyu area of Gassol local government area of Taraba State. Tyrese Haspil, a former personal assistant to Gokada founder and Chief Executive Officer, Fahim Saleh, has been arrested. Ex-NIMASA Director jailed 7 seven years on corruption charges

A Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced a former Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Executive Director (ED), Mr Ezekiel Agaba, to seven years imprisonment for laundering N1,541,408,666. Mr Ibrahim Buba convicted Agaba of seven counts of conversion and criminal breach of trust filed against him by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Gokada’s CEO murdered in US

A leading tech entrepreneur of international ride-sharing companies has been found dead in New York. The body of Fahim Saleh was found dismembered in a flat on Monday afternoon, US media reports say.
