Gunmen killed at least 20 people in attacks in Kadisau village, Katsina state, police and residents said on Wednesday. Hundreds of people have been killed in the last year by criminal gangs carrying out robberies and kidnappings in northwest Nigeria. More than 70 persons were reportedly killed after Boko Haram fighters invaded Faduma Koloram village in Gubio local government area of Borno state on Tuesday. The insurgents, who stormed the village in gun trucks and motorcycles, also carted away many cattle.
