Gunmen abduct army officer, three others in Ondo

Gunmen have kidnapped four persons, including a captain of the Nigerian Army, identified as D. Gana, along Kabba-Auga-Akoko expressway in Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State. The army captain and others, abducted on Tuesday, were said to be travelling from Abuja when they ran into the ambush laid by the kidnappers. Spokesman of Ondo State police command, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the development when he spoke with newsmen yesterday. 15 killed, 5 injured as gunmen attack Kaduna village

Police in Kaduna State on Tuesday confirmed the killing of 15 persons by suspected bandits in Gonar Rogo village in Kajuru Local Government Area of the State. The police, in a statement issued by the command spokesperson, Mr Mohammed Jalige, vowed to apprehend the culprits. Gunmen kill seven in new attacks on Plateau communities

Plateau State again woke up on Monday to news of the death of seven of its citizens in Naraguta, Shimilang and Kwal villages in Jos North, Mangu and Bassa Local Government Areas respectively. Seven killed, one abducted in new attacks on Kaduna communities

At least seven persons were killed and one abducted as gunmen in their numbers descended on three Kaduna communities. The attack took place in Chikun Local Government Area of the state. Herdsmen set Ondo communities ablaze, scores injured

Scores of farmers, including their wives, were wounded when suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded and set four communities in lgbatoro/Ala/Imafon communities in Ondo North, Ondo state ablaze over disagreement on grazing and destruction of their farmlands. Bandits kill 47 in coordinated attacks on Katsina communities

Armed bandits Saturday attacked communities in three local governments of Katsina State, killing 47 persons. Katsina State Police Command confirmed the early morning attacks and the casualty. Gunmen kill 9 persons, burn 33 houses in Plateau community

Unidentified gunmen attacked Hurra community of Irigwe Chiefdom in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau, killing nine persons and burning 33 houses.
