Suspended acting chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ibrahim Magu, has again been accused of allegedly failing to give a proper account of missing 332 out of the 836 recovered real estate property in March 2018. Police rescue American woman held for 15 months by Internet fraudster, arrest three others for related scam

Police have arrested a suspected internet fraudster, Mr Chukwuebuka Obiaku, who allegedly lured an American woman to Nigeria with marriage and extorted her of $48,000. Police spokesperson, Mr Frank Mba, said the woman was rescued in a Lagos hotel after being confined in a hotel for over a year. “Police operatives have successfully rescued an American citizen who was confined in a Lagos hotel where she was held against her wish for over a year.” The police however did not name the hotel. 22 killed in Southern Kaduna despite 24 hour curfew

Twenty-two persons have been killed in Southern Kaduna communities in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) has said. Most wanted gang leader, Mr Biola Ebila, has been killed in Ibadan, Oyo State capital. 20 killed in fresh Kaduna bandit attacks, herdsmen fingered

No fewer than 20 people have been killed by gunmen following an attack on Chibuak and Kigudu II communities in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna state. Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) office in Aso Rock Presidential Villa has been burgled and at least seven computers containing sensitive financial information were taken away and others badly damaged. Gunmen strike again in Kogi, kill two Navy officers

Two naval officers, a male and female, were shot dead on Thursday along Lokoja-Okene Expressway in Kogi State. The incident occurred around 6pm. Ekiti commences recruitment for Amotekun corps

Ekiti State Government has commenced recruitment of personnels into its State Security Network also known as Amotekun corps. Governor Kayode Fayemi had in March signed into law the bill backing the establishment of the network aimed at ending the scourge of kidnappings, killings and other heinous crimes in the state. Gunmen kidnap Delta state labour leader

Police have confirmed abduction of Mr Goodluck Ofobruku, Chairman of Delta chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), over the weekend in Asaba.
