Gunmen attack Kaduna community, kill 24

Gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen, on Sunday, invaded Kukum-Daji village, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing 24 people. The bandits were said to have stormed the community at about 10pm when the villagers, mainly young people, were still celebrating a wedding conducted earlier in the day. A community leader in the area, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the bandits came in a convoy of motorcycles and opened fire on the crowd. 16 soldiers killed as troops walk into ambush by bandits in Katsina

An ambush by suspected bandits in Katsina State on Saturday left at least 16 soldiers and officers dead and 28 others wounded. Troops of the Special Army Super Camp 4 were advancing on foot in Shimfida in Jibia local government area of Katsina State at about 6:13 p.m. Saturday when the armed militants opened fire on them from a hilltop, military sources said. Gunmen invade homes, abduct policewoman, five others in Kaduna; lawmaker’s daughter in Kano

Six people, including a female police officer and her daughter, have been abducted by gunmen who attacked Janruwa, an area in Kaduna metropolis over the weekend. Kidnappers kill two vigilantes in Taraba

Two members of a vigilante group lost their lives during a gun battle with kidnappers in a forest in Mutumbiyu area of Gassol local government area of Taraba State. Gokada CEO’s suspected murderer arrested

Tyrese Haspil, a former personal assistant to Gokada founder and Chief Executive Officer, Fahim Saleh, has been arrested. Saleh was gruesomely murdered by a faceless assassin earlier this week who left his decapitated and dismembered body inside his Lower East Side apartment, in New York City. Ex-NIMASA Director jailed 7 seven years on corruption charges

A Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced a former Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Executive Director (ED), Mr Ezekiel Agaba, to seven years imprisonment for laundering N1,541,408,666. Mr Ibrahim Buba convicted Agaba of seven counts of conversion and criminal breach of trust filed against him by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Buba held EFCC proved beyond reasonable doubt that the convict stole the sum from NIMASA while he was in charge of Maritime, Safety and Shipping. A leading tech entrepreneur of international ride-sharing companies has been found dead in New York. The body of Fahim Saleh was found dismembered in a flat on Monday afternoon, US media reports say.
